Choosing a seat
Once you enter a game table, you'll see empty cards around the table with the word "Sit." If you don't see any, this means the table is full! You might see empty spots, but the table probably has a limit of 5 players.

You can buy in with an amount between the minimum and maximum buy in. This is the total amount you have at the table. If you lose it all, you have to leave the game! A slider bar allows you to adjust your buyin easily.
Blinds
Blinds are bets that the table requires you to put down on the first round of betting. Each table has a complusory big and small blind. The people that have to pay these are the two sitting to the left of the dealer. The player acting as dealer rotates each round and is indicated by the "D" chip next to that player.
Course of the game
A round of poker follows this sequence:
* The two players left of the dealer post "blind bets."
* Two private cards are dealt to each player and bets are placed.
* Three community cards (or "flop") are dealt, to be used by all players to assemble a hand. Bets are placed.
* The 4th community card (or "turn") is dealt and bets are placed.
* The 5th community card (or "river") is dealt and bets are placed.
* Cards are revealed and winner(s) paid.

The basic actions of poker (check, bet, call, raise, fold) can all be performed in a self-explanatory fashion with the buttons below the table. If you already know what action you want to take before it is your turn, you can check a box to indicate that. The computer will then do that instantly on your turn. You have 30 seconds to complete your turn, at which point you will be booted if you haven't acted.
To choose the amount you would like to bet or raise, you can move the slider underneath the buttons to a number you like, or just click on the number below the raise/bet button and type any number.
Gifts and other Fun Stuff
While you're waiting for your turn, you can chat with your fellow players and any observers using the chat box at the bottom right corner. Or you can send gifts to people at the table to show you like them. Just click on anyone's player card and click "Send Gift." You can then choose a gift (each costs some amount from your non-table chips), and then any additional number of recipients. Gifts are fun and they'll be displayed on your receiver's profile page!

To stop playing a game without leaving the table, click on the "Sit Out" button. Your hand will automatically be folded. Or you can click the "Leave" button to sit out and go back to the casino. However, if you want to surf around the other tabs of Poker Palace without standing up, you can feel free to click on them at the top. You'll still remain seated!
