I am always impressed every time I read about the lives of famous people such as Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, etc.
They are great people with brilliant brains who become famous because of their work, their innovation or their contribution to civilization. For them, it isn’t about how to make as much money as possible, but how to solve mysteries of the universe that could help us all.
The more I read, the more I realize how stupid I am, that my knowledge is nothing at all compared to theirs. Sometimes I wish I had such a brilliant brain.
From my reading, I also learned many things about life. Living life in this modern world is full of competition. Everyone wants to look better than others. Many want to be the best or be more on top than others. Jealousy and hatred become part of the competition that happens everywhere in any field of life.
There’s nothing wrong with competition, as long as it doesn’t come with dirty tricks like slander and putting other people down. We have to be fair and honest when getting involved in any competition.
To me, if we put others down just to make ourselves look better, we will only put ourselves down by showing our ignorance. That’s why I try as much as I can not to do that because in the end I do not want to fall.
However, what I learned from the great people is that their success is not the result of competing with others, but the product of hard work. They are not after fame or money. They just want to do their best in their work to make innovations and discoveries. That’s what leads them to their wealth.
Therefore, I have decided that I don't want to compete with anyone else. If someone is better or looks better than me, I don't care, because to me it is their good fortune and I don't need to be jealous at all. Everyone was born with their own destiny.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
I now just want to compete with myself, trying to be the best of myself, trying my best to improve myself to make me a person with better quality by learning, because I know I am just an ordinary person.
